Kasbah Tamadot

Atlas Mountains, Morocco

About Kasbah Tamadot

Sir Richard Bransons Moroccan retreat. Relaxation is certainly on the agenda when visiting Kasbah Tamadot. Take a dip in the indoor or outdoor infinity pool or work up an appetite playing tennis, table tennis or working out in the gym. For a much slower pace indulge in a spa treatment or traditional Moroccan Hammam, meander around the fragrant gardens, curl up in front of the fireplace in the salon or star gaze through the telescope.

Kasbah Tamadot is located at the foothills of the Atlas Mountains, approximately 45 min drive from the centre of Marrakech, Morocco. The hotel sits at an elevation of 1,320m above sea level and overlooks a valley whose river ebbs and flows with the seasons. On a clear day you can see Mount Toubkal, the Atlas’ highest peak. The nearest village is Asni which is particularly worth visiting on Saturday for the weekly market.

Accommodation

Kasbah Tamadot has 27 bedrooms and suites including nine luxury Berber Tents, some of which have private plunge pools. All are individually decorated using traditional Moroccan furnishings and antiques, as well as items from the vast collection of Luciano Tempo, Kasbah Tamadot’s former owner. As a renowned antiques dealer and interior designer, Luciano brought together artefacts from all over the world, many of which feature in the bedrooms. Each room has a uniquely descriptive Berber name which tells you something about it.

Dining

With its intimate fireside bar and breathtaking terrace views, the stunning Kanoun Restaurant serves delicious local and international cuisine. The food combines local and international flavours, with home grown herbs and vegetables from the Kasbah Tamadot gardens. Dine al fresco around the candle lit reflecting pool, up on the rooftop terrace underneath the stars or somewhere private just for two!

Spa

The Asounfou spa, meaning “to relax” in Berber, offers a full range of treatments for both men and women using exclusive products chosen for their pureness and quality. For a true Moroccan experience try a Hammam, where the skin is deeply cleansed, purified and softened with the traditional weekly Moroccan cleansing ritual.
