The name “Anazoe” is derived from the Greek word for rejuvenation and encapsulates the underlying aim of the spa, total revitalization of body and spirit in accordance with the ancient Greek maxim “a healthy mind in a healthy body”.
The Anazoe Spa at Navarino Dunes offers a serene sanctuary, with an exceptional menu of specialty treatments based on ancient health and beauty practices, utilizing the area’s exclusive natural ingredients and unique products. Anazoe Spa has developed signature treatments based on the teachings of Hippocrates, the ‘father’ of western medicine. Therapists select the most appropriate and beneficial treatments tailored to meet our guests’ personal expectations and needs- right down to the sounds; a visit to Anazoe Spa also ensures an accompaniment of music based on ancient Greek melodies.
Greece’s first signature golf course
The impressive seaside Dunes Course was designed by former two times US Masters Champion and Ryder Cup captain Bernhard Langer in association with European Golf Design.
The championship course, set in a landscape of diverse topography with spectacular sea and river views, incorporates some links-style features in areas closest to the sea, with tall dunes dividing some of the holes adjacent to the golden beach. Parts of the course venture into olive and fruit groves, while some holes run along a small river that meanders through the site.
The Raquet Experience
The ancient Greeks took sports very seriously. Even before the first Olympic Games in 776 BC, Homer makes extensive reference to athletic contests in both the Iliad and the Odyssey. A form of badminton is thought to have first been played in ancient Greece, and when Major Walter Clapton Wingfield of the British army introduced lawn tennis to the world in 1873, he called it Sphairistike, which derives from a Greek word for an ancient ball game.
At Navarino Dunes we believe children should be seen, heard and part of the fun.Located just beside The Westin Resort, the recreational park offers a wide range of activities with something for everyone in the family including;
- The Aqua Park – fun for all ages with three slides and a play pool, outdoor seating and sun loungers are also available.
- The Playground – including ropes and climbing frames, adult supervision is required at all times.
- Indoor Basketball, volleyball and badminton and table tennis,
- The American Diner restaurant complete with a four lane bowling alley, pool tables, the indoor cinema and Playstation 3 consoles.
